Through the Years Day Care & Community Centre is the only licensed child care organization on the Aspotogan Peninsula. Housed in its own facility designed especially for children we are located in the heart of Hubbards at 20 Pte. Richard Green Lane.
We are just a walk through the woods from the Rails to Trails paths, Hubbards Barn Property, library and beaches.
Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to feel homey and inviting to children who are eager and hands on participants in designing the learning spaces. Our children, their families and visiting child care experts all comment on the high quality of our centre, especially its welcoming staff, highly inclusive environment and our Evergreen Club.
In October 2002 Through the Years opened in the former Fox Point Elementary School building, owned by the Municipality of Chester. Over the course of the next eight years it expanded from 33 child care spaces to 49 spaces after renovating the downstairs rooms of the building. In 2009 Through the Years applied for and successfully obtained an Expansion Grant from the Department of Community Services to build its own building on land leased from the Municipality of Chester at 20 Pte. Richard Green Lane in Hubbards. In June 2010 this building opened and was licensed for 75 children. In August 2013, 15 more school age spaces were added. An additional 10 school age spaces were added in 2015, bringing our licensed capacity to 100. Through the Years Day Care & Community Centre is a nonprofit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of community members and parents who oversee the Day Care & Community Centre programs and staff.
To nurture curious minds and kind hearts by providing quality care and education.
